POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Housekeeper is responsible for the supervision and smooth operation of the Housekeeping Department to ensure that Studio City’s service standards are met and guests are satisfied.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:                   

To ensure the Housekeeping Department is managed efficiently according to the established concept statements and adhere to Hotel’s Policies and Procedures.To provide supervision for the operation of the housekeeping departmentTo monitor service and room standards.To work closely with Front Office and Engineering Department to ensure that rooms are blocked accordingly for maintenance.Through hands on management, supervise closely all Housekeeping employees in the performance of their duties in accordance with policies and procedures and applicable laws.To develop and assist with training activities focused on improving skills and knowledge.To ensure employees have a complete understanding of rules regulations, and that behavior complies.To monitor employees morale and provide mechanisms for performance feedback and development.To effectively communicate guiding principles and core values to all levels of employees.Adhere to all Company policies and proceduresReport accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and / or security issues to supervisorsPerform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in a five star hotel.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent professional trainingDegree holder in Housekeeping or equivalent professional training is preferred

Skills / Competencies

Team player, who values teamwork, has good team building skills and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.Effective communicator.Strong supervisory skillsGood command in both written and spoken Cantonese / Mandarin / EnglishAbility to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basisAbility to work on overtime when needed
