Join our well-intervention team! ISS is seeking an Assistant HWO Operator to join our team of snubbing and hydraulic workover specialists. Career path advancement is accessible through specialized training.
Project locations are primarily in the Gulf of Mexico and Texas land-based job sites. Lodging, meal subsidies, and rotating schedules are provided by ISS, based on the assigned project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruct personnel on operating counterbalance winches and power packs and demonstrate how to adjust hydraulic pressure. Operate jack with tubular and BHA’s and high-pressure pumps. Operate traveling and stationary slip bowls and demonstrate how to dress the bowls with appropriate dies for tubular requirements to complete the job. Assist with the load and unloading of equipment and ground operations, including testing of BOPs and related equipment. Arrange the layout of BOP and riser assembly to properly space out the stack for operation. Install all cables on the gin pole. (Counterbalance, Main Hoist, and Scoping cable) Assist in basket operation as trainer and replacement. Perform and document critical function tests and weekly routine maintenance inspections. Basic ability to understand, speak, read, and write English.
