OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Inventory Planner will assist in the execution of the inventory strategy supporting the company’s value-merchandise business. The primary focus of the AIP is to accurately allocate purchase orders and replenish store inventory levels in a timely fashion that aligns to the merchandising strategy for a particular product category.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAllocate bulk purchase orders using the Allocations systemsAllocate inbound purchase orders of off-price opportunity buysSplit purchase orders to achieve optimal store level inventory integrityPull appropriate backstock quantities to maintain strong inventory productivity and in-stock measurementsMaintain proper inventory levels by store location to support sales, margin and turn goalsPartner with Merchandise and Inventory Planners to understand priorities, evolving business strategies and execution plansEnsure execution of purchase order allocation are prioritized and completed based on evolving merchandising strategiesExecute inventory re-balancing opportunities as necessaryMaintain proper stock level by store location that aligns to the expectations of the merchandising forecast Planning Manager, Buyers and Merchandise Planners

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree1+ years business experience (Retail buying, planning or allocations preferred).
