Assistant Investigator

Job Description

Performs investigative research in the particular area(s) of study, under supervision of a principle investigator, and publishes and presents data in a timely manner. Collaborates with other investigators and scientists in facilitating scientific research. Participates in various types of institute and community activities.

Job Responsibility

 

Ensures collection and analysis of research data. Submits manuscripts and abstracts for publication/presentation. Applies for grant funding and/or patents as appropriate. Performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, correspondence, attending meetings, database maintenance, maintaining records, charts, and other responsibilities. Ensures other activities, research and administrative, are completed. Supervises and/or provides technical direction to research staff. Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Job Qualification

 

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Science required. Faculty appointment by the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research Appointments and Promotions Committee, required. 10+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
