Family Service Association is seeking an experienced candidate for a part time (21) hour per week Assistant Junior Site Coordinator role in our Afterschool Daycare Program. The hours are 2 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday and Friday 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
The Assistant Junior Site Coordinator role is responsible for the daily activities of the site, including development of activities, ensure a safe environment, and transportation. The Assistant Junior Site Coordinator is also responsible for the site when Junior Site Coordinator is absent from the site.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that children are supervised at all times.Ensure that scheduled activities are implemented.Ensure that lesson plan books are completed on time with input from other staff members.Ensure that the site is safe. Monitor site and equipment for potential problems and provide oral and/or written reports to Junior Site Coordinator.Maintain equipment and daycare property.Assist with staff timesheets, progress reports, and all other required documentation.Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.Supervise compliance of the daycare facility with EEC regulations.Maintain regular communication with parents, school and agency.Assist with transportation and staffing.Respond to reasonable expectation of the Agency and/or supervisor.Work closely with the Junior Site Coordinator to understand and implement agency & program policies/regulations.Education and Experience:
An Assistant Junior Site Coordinator shall be at least 18 years of age and meet one of the following requirements:
Have a Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree; and have 3 months experience working with School Age children.Have a High School Diploma or equivalent; and have six months experience working with School Aged children including 3 months of supervised experience at a School Age child care program.Have 9 months experience with School Aged children including 3 months of supervised experience at a School Age child care program.This is a benefits eligible position.
