Position: Assistant Key Account Manager – Online Retail
Reporting
This position reports to the ecommerce and sales leader in China.Essential functions:
Communicates inside and outside the organization to keep key accounts in online channels up to date on relevant information, including forecast, inventory, product assortment, sample management, brand price system, and vendor order follow-up.Manage external online retailers to achieve targeted revenue, P&L, channel coverage, and penetration while following the brand guidelines and channel strategy.Monitor the monthly revenue and profitability at sell-in and sell-out for external online retailers across all their channels.Responsible for maintaining relationships with existing e-retailers and online wholesale retailers in assigned channels. Frequently communicate with all the online retailers and train them to maximize their performance and to ensure alignment across the market and proper behavior in daily operations.Make monthly sales reports, quarterly business performance reports, and an immediate reports as requested by the managementStay aware of the business status, challenges, concerns.Follow up on challenges and requests from online retailers and find the root cause to develop action plans to make counterproposals, including but not limited to, product assortment, listing, visual merchandising, sales promotion, sales tools, and marketing campaigns.Monitor the receivables and payments for healthy and sustainable business growth.Manage the purchase orders and inventory of online retail, leverage the orders and inventory allocation, monitor prices and goods flow, and make logistic arrangements.Make a weekly report to align with the omni-channel strategies, seasonal promotions, and overall operation directions to guarantee unified and proper brand VI, product profile, promotion management, and on-page media investment.Review and analyze the market scalability to help determine proper online B2B2C retail business strategies, including but not limited to category tactics, channel tactics, pricing strategy, etc.Educate and sell online clients and e-platforms the full Herman Miller product collection through presentations, quarterly training, entertainment, and project development for further business growth.Knowledge and skills:
Business development, sales, and marketing experience in the furniture category.Keen to learn, open-minded with problem ownership, and desire to work as part of a team.Understanding of the importance of Corporate Values and their implementation.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Passion for premium furniture, design, and sustainability.Ability to connect with people via both one-on-one and group interaction.Ability to handle problem resolution smartly and confidently, such as price, delivery, OA, installation, and warranty-related problems.Organized and able to multitask and retain and understand high levels of product, project, client, and process information.Ability to work to brand protocol and process while respecting Herman Miller’s work ethic and its local protocol without direct supervision.Education and experience
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Interior Design or ecommerce is preferred.3-4 years of online retail experience, KA management experience.Native Chinese. Better be fluent in English.Computer savvy with working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word; and ability to learn Herman Miller-specific computer functions.Who We Hire?
