From hearty breakfasts and leisurely lunches, to delicious Sunday roasts and evening meals, you can enjoy dishes thoughtfully crafted from high quality British ingredients - all served up in a peaceful and relaxing waterside setting.ASSISTANT KITCHEN MANAGER / SENIOR CHEF DE PARTIECirca 32,700 per annum plus tipsAll colleagues working in the following restaurants: Rajinda Pradesh, Huck's American Bar and Grill, The Pancake House, Sports Caf, The Lakeside Inn, Foresters' Inn, The Dozing Duck and Vital Caf Bar will benefit from the discretionary service charge we add to bills. The majority of our guests are happy to reward our colleagues for their excellent service.You will assist with leading a kitchen brigade dedicated to providing a first-class service and excellent food quality to our guests.Responsibilities will include:Assisting the Kitchen Manager / Head Chef in the effective and efficient management of the kitchen and teamEnsuring the kitchen operates within its agreed budget through analysing and rectifying food costs and marginsMonitoring guest satisfaction levels on the quality of food and taking action to remedy shortfallsPlaying a key role in the Departments compliance with food safety legislationPreparing and presenting food to the determined specificationHOURS OF WORKWorking straight shifts, you will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will fall between 7am and 11pm.As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSEssential requirements:Ability to lead a team in a busy commercial kitchen environmentGood financial awarenessstocktaking / work schedules / wastagePrevious experience as a Chef de Partie with supervisory and training responsibility for a team of chefs in a large organisation OR as a Head Chef / Sous Chef in a smaller establishmentExcellent communicatorExcellent organisational and time management skills while working under pressureSome knowledge of financial targets and controlsDesirable requirements:Experience of back of house systems for stock management and orderingABOUT THE BENEFITSCenter Parcs is a fantastic place to work and the benefits are as impressive as they are unique.
