The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their fulltime Assistant Learning Management System Administrator in the Office of Technical Education/Georgia Virtual Technical Connection. Reporting to the Executive Director, Georgia Virtual Technical Connection (GVTC), this position is responsible for The Assistant LMS Administrator assists in the overall management of the day-to-day operations of the LMS; Provides assistance to college coordinators, instructors, and facilitators with functions and utilization of the LMS; Maintains a deep understanding of all components, features and functions of the LMS: works closely with the Program Support Specialist supporting all third party applications as well as the design, development and programming of internal applications. **This position is open to current TCSG employees only , who meet the minimum qualifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in the management of the LMS operation
ยท Tests system to ensure reliability/availability
ยท Assists in the design, development, and implementation of queries for the LMS system
ยท Assists in the management, and maintenance of database content
ยท Assists in the management and oversight of the configuration and deployment of the Intelligent Learning Platform (ILP)
ยท Extracts available data upon requests from college coordinators
ยท Stays current on LMS changes and updates
ยท Participates in weekly Conference Calls with the GVTCโs selected LMSโs project manager and communicates with project manager as needed
Assists in the development and maintenance of database driven applications/forms
ยท Designs, codes, tests, modifies and debugs applications
ยท Tests software and analyzes output
ยท Makes modifications to the applications as needed to achieve the proper output of data
ยท Assists in the modification of applications as needed for subsequent requests as technology and/or the internal database changes
ยท Assists in the design, development, and implementation of applications/forms as required
ยท Recommends design improvements
Assists in managing the LMS Ticket System
ยท Submits and tracks system bugs/application issues to ensure prompt resolution by contracted LMS vendor's support team in a timely fashion
ยท Manages, works, and assigns LMS helpdesk tickets
ยท Works with LMS helpdesk providers to resolve LMS issues
ยท Monitors and maintains LMS tickets accuracy and currency
ยท Relays/communicates solutions to end users as required
Assists in the evaluation of policies, procedures and processes
Special projects and additional duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
ยท Associateโs degree Computer Information Science or related field *and* Three (3) years of work-related experience
ยท Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
ยท Bachelor's Degree, Computer Information Science or related field.
ยท Learning Management System Administration experience (Blackboard).
ยท Webinar application (WebEx/Teams).
ยท Microsoft Excel
ยท Customer Service/Helpdesk Experience

ยท Ability to research and design queries and reports
ยท Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public
ยท Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
ยท Ability to work in a team environment.
ยท Excellent technical/technology/computer skills.
ยท Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
ยท Skilled troubleshooter in a virtual learning environment.
ยท Decision making and problem-solving skills.
ยท Skilled in usage of webinar type platforms.
ยท Strong client-facing skills, assertiveness, strong communications skills, leadership, self-starter.
ยท Ability to manage multiple assignments.
ยท Skill in interpersonal relations and dealing with multiple agency stakeholders.
