Assistant Lodge Manager

Position Overview: 

Under the direction and leadership of the Lodge Manager, the Assistant Lodge Manager will manage, plan, evaluate, and lead the full range of business and operational activities within the camp. 

This is a rotational camp based position in Saskatchewan.   

Key Responsibilities: 

Directs a multi-disciplined support team to meet the needs of the client at the camp. 

Coordinates and ensures smooth and effective service delivery of functional groups such as food services, accommodations, information management systems, security, transport, facilities management, and various amenity services. 

Provides day-to-day liaison with customer site-management staff to ensure responsive, timely, and effective support to camp operations. 

Ensures effective orientation, training, coaching, and rotation scheduling. 

Assists in coordinating and conducting Monthly Quality Audit inspections. 

Manages budgets and monitors revenues and expenses. 

 

Qualifications: 

Degree or College Diploma in Hotel/Accommodation Management or related disciplines (desirable). 

Minimum of 4-6 years' management experience within the hospitality industry. 

Experience in remote camp services is a significant asset. 

Visionary leader with proven management, communication, and analytical skills. 

Strong problem-solving skills combined with creativity and a highly inquisitive approach. 

Managerial experience and entrepreneurial skills in hiring and mentoring professional staff, developing and overseeing marketing, managing resources to meet business goals, and communicating these goals at all levels. 

Proven leadership, business acumen, analytical capabilities, and negotiation skills. 

Self-starter with above-average experience/knowledge in team building and relationship building in a cross-cultural environment.
