Assistant Manager, Child Development Center
Overview Responsible for administration, leadership, planning, direction and evaluation of program operations. Coordinates special projects and assists manager with all program planning and development. Oversees classroom activities and education. Maintains reports and records per licensing and program requirements. Conducts regular on-site reviews. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or related field with a minimum of twelve (12) hours in Early Childhood. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT At least three (3) years of experience in a related field. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of Database software, Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold/heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
