Assistant Manager, Finance & Accounts (Planning & Controlling)

Job Summary

You will be responsible on the preparation of financial planning and forecasting processes, supporting management expense budget, analysing and evaluation of financial results and key operations metrics.

 

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage the financial planning process including annual planning/budgeting and monthly forecasting; Review reasonableness of the underlying assumptions used for planning projections and business cases; Ensure accuracy of monthly management reports and presentation materials to senior management, regional office, board and board committees; Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets, highlight significant deviations and recommending corrective actions to improve performance; Understand and analyse the key drivers to validate forecast and to support business functions in establishing data-driven decisions and strategies; Implement appropriate metrics to monitor performance against forecast and plan, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and targets; Perform regular expense analysis and work with actuarial team on updating expense methodology, including updates to support IFRS 17 attributable expenses analysis. Support Finance initiatives including benchmarking studies, provide support for IT reporting and other initiatives as rolled out by Allianz Group

 

Key Requirements

Must possess at least Degree in Accountancy/ Professional Qualifications (ACCA, CPA, etc.) or other equivalent professional qualifications; Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with audit or Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) background Insurance industry experience will be an added advantage; Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal stakeholders and work efficiently; Meticulous, strong analytical skills and strong commercial acumen; Positive working attitude, self-starter, committed and driven to meet deadlines and targets
