Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage

We’re looking for an amazing Food and Beverage Assistant Manager which is based at Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge, a remote lodge in Denali, Alaska. You’ll be responsible for the Front of House Operations for 5 restaurants, 3 coffee shops, and 5 bars on the property. This position will also be responsible for cleanliness, inventory, ordering, staffing, training, organization, and product development. Here’s a summary of what Holland America Line and Princess is looking for in its Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. Is this you? **Responsibilities** + Working front line supervisor position, will work alongside crew during operating season to oversee, motivate, and ensure proper task completion. + Hire, train, supervise, coach, and support the Food and Beverage operation to ensure efficient, safe, and well scoring results for the department. + Ensure restaurants are clean, organized and well stocked. + Coordinate with management to compete necessary operational tasks, support effective employee scheduling, and action management team’s financial and guest facing initiatives. **Requirements** + Degree in Hotel and Restaurant management preferred. + Minimum age of 21 is required. + Three years’ experience in similar position. + Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. + Must demonstrate supervisory experience through Food and Beverage environment. + Have current or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handlers Card and TAPs card. + Must have current, valid driver’s license. + Must have a driving record with no more than two moving violations within the past 36 months or one serious traffic violation within the previous five years. + May be requested to work a different shift, beyond normal business hours, or on weekends to support business needs, projects or operations. + Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check. + May need to stand for long periods of time. + Must be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
