Assistant Manager, Fulfillment

As Assistant Manager Fulfillment, you lead and develop a team of 2 Supervisors and warehouse technicians while driving strategic planning and execution of department initiatives. What You Get To Do Everyday

Manage daily operations to maximize productivity and meet daily goals

Oversee up to 50 Warehouse Technicians 

Oversee Outbound fulfillment activities including:  Batching, Picking and Sorting while ensuring productivity standards are met 

Work with cross-divisional teams to build consensus on strategic objectives and operational goals

Establish and implement operational policies, standards, and procedures for the team

Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies

Train team on expected operational standards using appropriate tools such as SOP’s, compliance audits, company policies & procedures

Define Picking and Sorting SLAs/KPIs and track them daily

Oversee daily operations and identify bottlenecks, suggesting solutions for continuous improvement 

Promote a culture of respect and an atmosphere of teamwork to foster a positive working environment

Play an active role in staff management including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, corrective action and write/conduct performance reviews 

Ensure job function time studies and audits are completed and feedback is provided through coaching and training

Ensure all team members are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations

Perform administrative activities associated with the effective management of warehouse operations, including maintenance, housekeeping, and organization

Lead investigations for incidents and injuries as required, in partnership with HR, Safety, and Loss Prevention

Actively support and participate in all safety initiatives in the warehouse

Assist Fulfillment Managers as needed by providing additional coverage

What You Bring To The Role

Minimum Requirements

3+ years of experience leading and managing a team of 20 or more, preferably in a warehouse environment

Drive to achieve results both individually and as a team

Strong leadership ability in managing and developing a high performing team

Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor communication style to suit the target audience; executive presence 

Agile, dynamic, problem-solving mindset

Ability to “push the envelope” to always improve customer SLA’s and value-added services

Strategic, forward-thinking perspective, excellent business judgment, and a collaborative working style

A sense of humor, personal integrity, and the appreciation for the power of teamwork

Adaptability and openness to change

A growth mindset with a solutions focus

Preferred Requirements

3+ years’ experience working in warehouse operations 

2+ years’ experience with outbound workflow and process management 

Shipping and carrier (UPS, FedEx, DHL) experience a plus

Lean Six Sigma certification

The expected salary range for this role is $59,608.80-$80,912.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
