Assistant Manager, Line1 B - Quality Assurance

The opportunity

We are looking for Quality Assurance Assistant Manager in Agency Sale Distribution. This role reports to Head of Agency Risk and Control Unit. This role requires someone that familiar with quality review and oversee the sale operation in life insurance industry, self-driven and adaptable to changes to achieve its yearly goals in a highly fast paced environment.

Position Responsibilities:

Monitor performance and key risk indicators of assigned business areas. Pro-actively conduct trend analysis to find abnormal trends, suspicious signs, issues. Work collaboratively with BUs to implement corrective actions to cut the potential for re-occurrence.

Prepare review reports of sale quality and ensure solution following company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Assess control design and effectiveness, analyze business process to find weakness and propose controls to improve process.

Identify risk areas, conduct risk assessments, and propose practical solutions to address the risks identified. Monitor risk management sale procedures, maintain problem logs, and report issues to line manager.

Facilitate discussion of the issues and remedies with sale management level in areas. Work closely with sales managers to update the newest status in sales areas.

Follow up outstanding findings and monitor the corrective actions.

Provide training and support to QA team members that covers systems, policies, procedures, and core processes.

Support to conduct any ad-hoc reviews and initiatives, as required.

What we are looking for

University degree in finance, accounting, law, insurance, or related business degree.

Over 7 years of cumulative relevant financial services industry experience, experience in audit, compliance testing is highly preferred.

Professional qualifications such as CIA, FLMI and CPA is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills.

Experience in conducting risk assessment, internal control review and develop procedures.

Good at execution, pressure handling and teamwork.

Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks and handle multi assignments.
