The Merchant Strategy Team is now finding a teammate to join our young and motivated team with the mission to empower merchants with economic opportunities while making lives easier for all Thais. Our team operates with first principle thinking, consumer centricity, and result-orientation approach. As a member of the team, you will shape the future of GrabFood. You will have a chance to create growth opportunities by planning and executing strategic plans with the close interaction with top management.

Get to Know the Role 

As an Assistant Manager, Merchant Strategy - you will be the trusted partner for Head, GrabFood Strategy. You will be double-hat as the strategic project PMO, steering merchant strategy frameworks & governance for the team. As a strategic project PMO, you will be the core driver force from ideation to execution of the assigned project with multi-functional stakeholders and top management. Moreover, you will be the key driver for managing OKRs of the Merchant Strategy team by setting up actionable frameworks and data infrastructure for the team. You will be put in the front line of food delivery business innovation and competition with a steep learning curve that will make one year in Grab be 10x of others.

You will be reporting to the Head, GrabFood Strategy, onsite at our Bangkok Office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

You will:

Identify the growth opportunities: Gather information on both qualitative and quantitative fronts and identify opportunities to grow the business. Learn and share findings with peers to empower our merchants ecosystem.Craft out strategy:: Collaborate with teams across the organization to develop projects aimed at driving GrabFood's growth. This may involve brainstorming sessions, strategy meetings, and regular check-ins to ensure agreement and progress. Drive the project to reality by getting the hands dirty. High-stake Project Execution: Oversee the execution of these projects, prioritizing the impacts and ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the defined goals. This will require project management skills, including task delegation, timeline management, and resource allocation.

Design governance and frameworks to execute strategy: Create the robust system to track and react to the movement of  strategic indicator which will help Merchant Strategy team be on point in strategy execution.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

Minimum 3 years experience in project management, business analyst, business development or equivalent roleCapability to integrate overarching plan into project details with a mindful 3 steps ahead thinkingExcellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to provide win-win solutions for team membersDemonstrated capacity to collaborate with multi-function teamsThink strategic and creative to produce out-of-the-box solutions
