POSITION SUMMARY:
The main responsibility of the Assistant Manager, Multimedia Designer is to create high-quality multimedia content across various platforms. This position combines creative design skills with leaderships skills, contributing to the success of the Branding department.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists the Creative & Design Manager in overseeing all aspects of multimedia projects, from concept development to final execution.
2. Ensures all artwork and copies are correct and compliant with the guidelines.
3. Collaborates with the Branding team along with other relevant business units to understand the design needs and translate them into impactful visual assets.
4. Takes a project from initial concept to final artwork, ensuring all artworks created are brand compliant.
5. Create high-quality multimedia content, incding graphics, animations, videos and presentations.
6. Stay up up-to-date on the latest design trends and software (Adobe Suite; animation software)
7. Liaises with vendors and suppliers when necessary.
8. Provide design mentorship and guidance to junior artists.
9. Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new design talent.
10. Occasionally, lead a project or campaign from conceptualization to placement
11. Assist in maintaining an electronic & print library of all relevant images, artwork and logos to ensure that these are easily accessible for the team.
12. Track design project budgets and resources.
13. Perform other task/s as assigned by your immediate superior
QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Experience
1. At least 10 years’ work experience in a professional design studio or advertising agency
2. Previous experience of working in a similar role is essential
3. Experience in leading small creative teams
4. Good experience of branding and brand development
5. Experience in video editing and animation
II. Education
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
III. Skills & Competencies
1. Working knowledge in HTML, CSS and JavaScript (a plus)
2. Experience in leadership role
3. Has a strong design portfolio
