Get to know our Team:

This function operates in the Regional Planning and Partner Platform Excellence team. The team primarily focuses on strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiencies and experiences for Grab’s driver- and merchant- partners. We make an impact by acting as a think tank in fostering continuous improvements of driver- and merchant-related processes and products through various experiments and project implementations.

Get to know the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Manager to join our Planning and Core Platform Excellence team. This mid-level managerial position plays a pivotal role in driving operational process improvements and product automations to provide the best experience for Grab’s driver- and merchant- partners across countries in South East Asia. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset and strong project management skills to enhance our operational excellence and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The day-to-day activities:

Strategic Planning and Implementation: Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across functions through process optimisation as well as product automation.Project Management: Lead and manage key projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams across different country, regional, and functional teams to ensure timely and successful execution.Continuous Operational Improvement: Identify and assess potential operational process and framework standardization across countries to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve driver- and merchant- partner experience.  Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stakeholders across the organization and within the region to align strategies and operations with overall business objectives.Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze operational data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities. Prepare and present reports to senior management to inform decision-making.Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the various cross-functional teams across the region  to support and implement strategic initiatives.Market Insights: Monitor industry trends and market conditions in South East Asia to inform strategic planning and project prioritization.

Qualifications

The must haves:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic planning, project management, or operational support, preferably in a multinational environment.Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, and experienced working with large cross-functional teams across geographical boundaries.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels in both written and spoken EnglishStrong business acumen, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skillsSelf-driven, motivated, entrepreneurial, structured thinking and results-oriented; ability to own outcomes and make things happenStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insightsHighly comfortable working with systems, tools, and databases.Proficient in Google or Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.Knowledge of lean management, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.Ability to travel within the South East Asia region as required.
