Assistant Manager, Product Performance and Analytics

This position is responsible for managing the existing BPLAC product and fund portfolio against customer value and set KPIs, and recommends and implements corrective measures (e.g. pull-out, repricing) of existing products as necessary.

Tracks product performance vs. business objectives, puts in place levers that will allow the company to hit VONB, product mix or other relevant targets mandated by company strategy, recommends and implements corrective measures to ensure achievement of set goals;Provides sales support through regular report generation of product performance for strategy development according to Territory, Area/Division, per distribution channel, in coordination with Business Analytics and Distribution teams;Monitors performance of newly launched products through report generation and analysis of product strategy, e.g. analysis of customer demographics to ensure penetration of target market segment;Provides baseline recommendation on target product mix, sets strategies to achieve target, and monitors actual product mix;Monitors customer complaints on product and fund performance, performs root cause analysis to determine possible remedial actions, as necessary;Coordinates with Actuarial on factors affecting VONB and VONB margin, GOE allowables and its correlation to VONB;Collaborates with Distribution Support for promotion of product/s in-focus;Supports preparation of business plans and strategies to align with company forecasts and goals;Performs ad-hoc data analysis and prepares reporting dashboards and other business intelligence materials as needed;Drives personal development through realization of Development Action Plan; andPerforms other tasks as may be required by the immediate supervisor.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Finance, Business or other data-related fieldAt least 3 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Insurance knowledge is a mustStrong mathematical skills, capable of gathering and analyzing financial data, with background in data analytics rolesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing and organizing data into insightful recommendationsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsHighly adept at using Excel to process and prepare data. Experience in using advanced business intelligence software e.g. SAS is an advantage.Self-motivated, independent, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
