BUYING ASSISTANT MANAGER (P1)
This role is responsible for maximizing the profitability of DTC Retail business by implementing the day-to-day trading of the department, reviewing sales and stock and ensuring all in-season activity is focused on delivering planned sales, margin and terminal stock objectives. Also, to ensure the correct product is bought in the right volumes and size ratios for the local market. This role will plan and trade product by providing feedback and range to SEA Buying team.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the implementation of key strategic priorities in country ORT channel and in line with the business and SEA DTC Buying framework.
• Synchronize, steer and own the market forecast for the ORT channel.
• Work with SEA and Buying Manager and DTC Lead on planning the market Open-To-Buy (OTB - ORT) and highlight and raise concerns to ensure the buy is based on a fact-based analytical approach.
• To ensure given budget is invested to achieve targets by effective use of range planning in the market.
• Steer and implement product mix according to share of concept stores vs factory outlets, share of categories & distributions, gender mix in ORT.
• To review and implement right buying analysis by categories for ORT.
• Support our franchise partners to ensure their buy meets DTC alignment by giving them right range recommendations per store based on SEA Assortment Planning seasonal strategy guideline.
• Monitor our franchise store merchandising status on a regular basis and guide them properly to be aligned with SEA direction & Key Responsibilities Function.
• Support improvements in Allocation and Replenishment (A&R) techniques with HUB - ORT
• To oversee the optimal flow of merchandise including fulfilment of product/marketing introduction deadlines/capacity planning.
• Implement and jointly work with Store Operations and drive development to ensure grading/option plan is in line with space management (pre-season).
• Steer and support the enhancement of all product planning systems and tools to suit world class merchandising practice.
• To implement key product planning reports that help evaluate the business goals and ensure findings are considered in strategy establishment.
• Provide fact-based product input and feedback for internal/external stakeholders. (Pre and Post Season input will be needed.)
• To review size ratios for the new season and take necessary corrective action prior to order placement.
• To conduct regular analysis and prepare a comprehensive report to SEA Buying (pre-, in- and post-season).
• To take action on end of season stocks management (PLC) and ensure sufficient products in Factory Outlet.
To drive and steer Benchmark and KPIs on productivity and sell thru, aligned with HUB on the following KPIs:
• Full price ST & Full Price Net sales mix
• Category , divisions , concept and gender share of business; margin and bottom line, NPS
• Category , Divisions , Gender and Concept share of business
• Standard Margin - %
• Terminal Stock/Pull Out
• Cost of Reductions – Markdowns
• Inventory Day Lasting Or Stock Turns
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in any course/related field
• At least 3 years experience in Order Management, Inventory Management and Customer Service. Someone with Merchandising experience is also welcome to apply. Preferably in apparel, fashion, footwear, retail or FMCG industry
• Good English communication skills both in oral and written
• Has knowledge in Microsoft Office- Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
