Assistant Manager, Sports & Recreation
Job Summary: Join a team dedicated to creating exceptional sports and recreation experiences! As an Assistant Manager, Sports & Recreation, you will oversee leagues, events, and on-campus sports facilities, fostering engagement and growth while ensuring efficient operations and user satisfaction. Responsibilities: + Oversee daily operations of the Sports & Recreation department across a client account, ensuring efficient and sustainable operations. + Organize and run leagues, tournaments, and events, maintaining a high standard of user satisfaction. + Create and manage field schedules, monitor facility usage, and oversee roster signups. + Manage inventory for all sports equipment and facilities, ensuring they are maintained in top condition. + Provide exceptional customer service through positive, daily interactions with users to deliver high-quality experiences. + Align departmental activities with client goals and account strategies to drive program success. + Track program participation, collect user feedback, and implement improvements. + Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field. + 1+ years of experience in sports management, recreation operations, intramural activities, or customer service (relevant internships considered). + Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent tools. + Passion for sports, fostering community, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. + Proven ability to mentor and coach team members while building strong relationships. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an outgoing personality and a talent for providing outstanding customer service. Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $21.63/hour to $33.65/hour. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
