About the Role
• Provide day-to-day BAU Basis support to AIA SAP landscape.• Provide Basis support to SAP projects
Roles and Responsibilities:
Daily monitoring and troubleshooting activities such as analyzing SAP system logs and ABAP dumps, check cancelled background processes, check DB locks, transports, and printersTroubleshoot, resolve and understand SAP interfacing requirementsSupport project and BAU Basis initiatives such as performance tuning / monitoring, system / client refreshes, sizing, patching, installation and upgrades.Database administration, SBP patching and upgradesSAP OS/DB migration and upgradesDevelop and/or maintain procedures to manage technologies and tasks based on "best practice" standards for tasks such as such as system refreshes, backup & recovery, error detection, SAPGUI, BEX Analyzer, BPC GUI and EPM deployment, background job monitoring/scheduling and Disaster Recovery Procedures.Support SAP Functional teams and business users for Basis-related problemsEnsure help desk tickets are resolved within stipulated SLAsProvide out-of-hours Basis support (24x7) via on-call rota and rotational shift works on month-end closing.Generate & monitor SAP system optimization reports (e.g. Early Watch)Non-financial Measures:
Ensure SAP landscape is maintained optimally from operational perspective with good performance levels (fast system response time)
Communication Requirements
Internal: Works with all EASC members to ensure the relevant technology aspects are understood by applications, development and security teams. Works to understand the business and application aspects of the systems maintained by EASC team. Liaises with necessary IT staff to ensure infrastructure needs are implemented and managed. Works with LBU as necessary in relation to technology requirements affecting LBUs.
External: N/A
Challenge will be in liaising with various EASC team members to ensure that the AIA system landscape design is adhered to while meeting the requests of various project and support teams.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree Information Technology/Systems, or Engineering or Business-related degree majoring in computing systemsExperience:
5 to 10 years of solid Basis experience in managing and administering both ABAP and JAVA stacks in SAP ECC, BI, BPC, Solution Manager, SAP NetWeaver PO, SAP Portal, SAP Business Object (BO), SAP Single Sign-On administration and SAP Information Life Cycle (ILM).Strong knowledge and experience in Cloud solution and IT Security Vulnerability ManagementStrong experience in NetWeaver 7.5 and HANA scale-out architectureStrong experience in Unix/Linux and Windows administrationStrong experience in Oracle Database administrationStrong experience with Solution Manager scenarios:E2E Workload Analysis
