About the Team
The Pottery Barn Visual Merchandising Team is responsible for creating compelling seasonal floor sets in partnership with cross functional merchant partners, while maximizing retails sales and supporting our brands big bets. It is our job to attract and retain customers by delivering an outstanding and engaging customer experience through visual merchandising. We want to draw customers into our Pottery Barn retail stores by having innovative displays that inspire and catch the attention of our customers. We want to ensure that each seasonal floorset is densified to maximize POS businesses and drive brand reappraisal.
About the Role
As an Assistant Manager on the Visual Merchandising Team, you will create seasonal, inspirational in-store displays. This role partners with cross functional teams to develop and implement strategies to drive both brand reappraisal and business growth related to the tabletop division. This role also supports their manager with windows & props. In this influential role it is necessary to be able to manage every aspect of visual merchandising from start to finish for each season. This will require the necessary skills of budgeting, conceptualization, creation, implementation, and communication in successfully bringing this role to life. The ability to adapt direction to different scenarios and creatively troubleshoot is crucial. Strong communication skills are essential for building relationships with vendors, cross functional partners, and corporate and field visual teams.
Job Responsibilities
• Work with merchants to seasonally plan and map TT immediately following adoption - plan and develop seasonal strategy to align and pre-plan. Make recommendations as needed to affect/influence assortmen
• Assist merchants with seasonal FLR set-ups as needed/requested
• Ensure that the full retail assortment has a home either on features or in destinations on floorplan
• Help implement/roll out new strategies - Support all tiering strategies
• Oversee ordering of seasonal samples, ensuring you have evolved core for each floorset
• Set up mock store as needed to ensure all features/tiers/destinations are accurate – ensure that all variations for alt set ups/tiers is completed and photographed
• Own feature SKU list/assortment seasonally for photobook communications team
• Tabletop destination support/editing and communication as things change to communcations team for all things related to Tabletop – ensure that TT direction for field is robust and clear
• Supports manager with frame inserts
• Executes the window displays from initial concept to final executive approval
• Creates/Supports window visual direction for photobook
• Manages window distribution database and updates as necessary
• Choose and digitally format catalog imagery for poster marketing. Sends information to vendor seasonally
• Supports in store props & fixtures process, updates prop memo seasonally
• liason between corporate and field visual for prop and window communications

The expected starting pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
