Assistant Manager

We are inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee/Assistant Manager (4A and 4B) – Payroll Operations

Responsibilities

Sole responsibility for EMEA payrolls in various locations

Monthly payroll inputs

Initial checks of payroll

Finalisation of payroll

Be responsible for collecting monthly payroll input from People Team

Liaising with our payroll providers in EMEA (mainly ADP)

Liaising with the Finance team to contribute to the month end reporting both for UK and EMEA payrolls

Prior experience of comparison reporting either month by month or other format as requested

Ability to calculate manual payments

Awareness of tax coding/SSP/SMP/other UK related payments etc.

First point of contact for all payrolls in terms of payroll providers and employees

Experience and use of PAYE Settlement Agreements

Administrating our monthly pension input to our providers

Preparing payroll journals for the month end accounting process

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or equivalent education

Systems experience with ADP Streamline and iHCM

Superb UK payroll knowledge and a good level of experience at operating at this level. Ability to input and produce reports

Good working knowledge of EMEA payrolls. This role will be required to work with providers in various locations

Knowledge of the EMEA country legislation would be a benefit

Excellent communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate technical subjects to a non-technical audience.

Demonstrable attention to detail

Flexibility and a self-starting attitude are essential

Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft packages: Excel, Word, and Office

Preferred qualifications

MBA/External Certifications from recognized institutes is an advantage

Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment and work independently

Ability to manage multiple complex issues and prioritize projects concurrently

Ability to work at all levels of the HR “stack” - Strategic, operational, and tactical
