Job Summary: Provide direction and supervision for employees engaged in administering a variety of rehabilitation services including but not limited to physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Monitors and ensures day-to-day operations are met. Monitors referral patterns and assists in implementing necessary strategies to ensure timely and efficient patient care. Schedules clinical staff to ensure adequate coverage. Assists in staff development, performance plans and maintains competencies for rehab staff. Assists in performance and quality improvement projects by gathering, monitoring and analyzing data. Actively participates in customer service initiatives and service recovery needs for all departmental customers. Provides therapy evaluations and treatment as necessary. Performs other tasks assigned by leadership.
Qualifications: Minimum bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university majoring in Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy. North Carolina state license required in PT, OT or SLP. BLS certification required. Considerable knowledge of therapy terminology, procedures, and techniques. Thorough skill in performing therapy procedures. Considerable judgment required in working with patients and performing treatments. Ability to professionally communicate and deal tactfully with key stakeholders including, but not limited to; patients, visitors, physicians, and other healthcare personnel. Demonstrates leadership skills including, but not limited to; integrity, active listening, problem solving, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution to uphold organizational culture and values. At least two years of supervisory experience in rehabilitation is preferred.
