THE JOB:
Take the lead as an Assistant Manager, driving unparalleled service excellence. Embrace the legacy of Manhattan’s iconic red sauce restaurant while creating an upscale, unforgettable dining experience at Aria. As the Assistant Manager at Carbone, you’ll oversee the restaurant’s daily operations, ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly. With your warm hospitality and commitment to exceptional service, you’ll craft personalized experiences for our guests, leaving them with WOW moments and lasting memories that extend far beyond their stay.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Make daily floor plans per shift to ensure proper rotation and coverage of stations
Supervise floor service in dining rooms during hours of operation
Perform employee evaluations and manage issues related to attendance records
Maintain communication with the Chef on all food service and menu issues
Communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address issues or needs requested by guests and employees
Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing; prepare purchase requisitions for any outlets from the warehouse or support departments
Keep inventory form and stocking area updated
Inspect food coming from support departments to assure freshness and quality
Maintain direct communication with guests for special requests and large party reservations
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Two years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry, in a high-volume, full-service, or sit-down dining environment
At least one year of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant environment
Experience working in a similar resort setting
Working knowledge of Food and Beverage products and equipment
Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement
Product ordering as well as inventory control experience
Computer software and technology proficiency
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
