Assistant Manager-Clinical Operations

As the Assistant Manager of Clinical Operations, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Adult Med-Surg unit at University Hospital. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in their career. You will combine your clinical expertise with leadership practices to drive excellent clinical outcomes and improve patient care experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the unit Manager to develop and implement action plans focused on quality and safety improvements, enhancing care affordability, and optimizing the patient and team experience. Lead the execution of these action plans and assess their effectiveness through data analysis and feedback mechanisms. Be an active member of the interprofessional team, fostering an environment that empowers staff to strive for excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. Advocate for evidence-based practices and uphold professional nursing standards to advance nursing practice within the unit. Participate in the leadership team overseeing a unit that operates 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required. Must possess an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required. Additional advanced life support certifications may be required based on unit/department specialty in accordance with patient care policies.
