Assistant Manager - Collections

Synopsis of the role  :

Collection Specialist is responsible for managing the collection of
outstanding debts from clients and customers. They are involved by businesses to inform
customers of their overdue bills and attempt to collect payment to mitigate company
losses and exerpertise in making collection related MIS .

What you’ll do

Implementing collection policies and procedures to ensure timely collections.
• Regular follow ups with the customers over email, phone calls & through
outstanding letters
• Obtaining payment details such as UTR and invoice wise breakup from customer
and share it with cash apps team for AR knockoff
• Create AR dashboards on outstanding receivables/ Ageing buckets/ identify key
defaulters with reasons
• Liaise with sales team/ MIS team/ AR team for any corrections and ensure that
any customer dispute is routed and addressed by concerned team
• Have weekly calls with all regional sales heads on key outstanding from their
client and seek their support to push for collections
• Define monthly collections target and prepare weekly DCR summary and publish
to the management team
• Compute provision for doubtful debts on a monthly basis on AR outstanding
based on company’s policy
• Negotiating with customers in cases when non-payment occurs.
• Preparing monthly feedback reports on payment collections.
• Remaining informed of any legislative procedural training regarding debt
collection.
• Training and mentoring of staff members in the collections department. 


What experience you need

⦁    7-12 years of relevant experience 
⦁    problem-solving capabilities.
⦁    Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, superiors and customers.
⦁    Strong analytical /Collection MIS and time management skills.
⦁    Well planned, organized with keen attention to detail.
⦁    Advanced computer skills (MS Office) with prior experience working with accounting software is a must.
⦁    Expertise needed in Oracle / Tableau / SAP /Advance Excel
