The Role

As a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager – Outlet you will assist the Food Beverage Manager in managing the Food Beverage operation ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and aligned with Hyatt’s purpose. You achieve this through planning, organizing, directing and influencing the Food Beverage team and operation. You provide and influence a personalized memorable experience in the outlets, by showing a genuine interest in the needs and preferences of the guest and delivering these in a confident manner.

This varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your professional Hospitality career within an international company; either in Australia or overseas.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure that the outlet is managed efficiently according to the established concept statement, providing courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times. Ensure par stocks are strictly adhered to for all operating equipment, supplies and inventoried items, and to ensure that the outlet is adequately equipped. Conduct monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies. Assists with the development and maintenance of a detailed Department Operations Manual that reflects policies and procedures, work processes and standards of performance with in the division. Ensures annual review accurately reflect any changes. To assist in planning the outlet weekly roster and work schedules to ensure that the outlet is adequately staffed to handle the level of business. To assist in effective payroll control through a flexible work force maximise utilisation of part time/casual associates and close cooperation with other Food Beverage outlets. Through hands on management, supervise closely all Food and Beverage service associates in the performance of their duties in accordance with policies and procedures and applicable laws. Delegate appropriately, duties and responsibilities to equipped and resourced associates, nurturing and developing them whilst ensuring standards of operation and safety are maintained.

The successful candidate will have

Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate issued in VictoriaExcellent communication and customer relations skillsFamiliar with wine styles and grape varieties and other beverage itemsWell developed computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office, email and MicrosGood trainer with an ablility to facilitate at all levelsComprehensive knowledge of business needs, financial reporting and productivity requirementsMinimum 2 years workexperience as Team Leader or Assistant Manager in a hotel or large restaurant with good standardsA University Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management specialising in Food and Beverage Management is desirableMust have unrestricted Australian Working Rights
