Assisting the Residential Manager with the responsible for  residence in accordance with state and federal regulations.  Supervises the, Shift Supervisor (where applicable), direct care and support staff.  Ensure residents receive quality care; develop and maintain good relations with families and community groups.  Coordinates all day-to-day operational needs within the residence and be available on-call for emergencies after hours and weekends. Must have a working knowledge and be able to utilize computer systems (i.e., Outlook, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, etc.).

Essential Accountabilities:

Ensures that all activities enhance and support each person’s social responsibility, independence, dignity and continued growth. Implements valued outcomes designed to maximize each person’s level of independence, as determined by the IDT, including but not limited to: budgeting, independent living skills, grooming, nutritional planning, use of public transportation, use of community resources, shopping and housekeeping. Supervises direct support professionals (DSP) in the performance of all day-to-day responsibilities; this includes the review of valued outcome entries in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to ensure accurate billing for the facility.  Ensures the training of new staff as assigned by role modeling tasks and assigning working partners. Supervises and monitors residential staff in completion of job responsibilities; including the assistant manager, shift supervisor, client coordinator and DSP staff. Responsible for implementation of all policies, procedures and programs of the facility and WellLife Network in accordance with OPWDD regulations and guidelines. Maintains staff and persons served written records, including but not limited to annual and semi-annual action plans, meeting minutes, etc. Also responsible to update and maintain persons’ served records in the designated Electronic Health Record (EHR), including but not limited to completion of the daily census, data collection for billing, etc. Serves as the Interdisciplinary Team Leader and participates in all necessary program planning meetings.  Completes QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) notes as needed, but not less than monthly. Attends and participates in agency standing committees, trainings, and other out of residence activities as assigned Reviews and ensures timely submission of all purchase requisitions and maintains accounting systems for all expenditures as per WellLife Network procedure. Ensures timely and accurate submission of all payroll documentation as per WellLife Network procedures. Ensures the residence physical plant is clean, safe and meets regulatory requirements.  Ensures all issues involving repair and maintenance are addressed as needed with the appropriate department and/or vendor. Must successfully complete and ensure that all staff complete and perform all techniques required in SCIP, AMAP, CPR, First Aid, etc. Maintains persons served financial ledgers to ensure accuracy and monies are spent appropriately as per agency and regulatory guidance. Reviews all incident reports as required under state and federal regulations and ensures all appropriate actions and corrective measures are completed. Must be able to physically interact with the persons served, negotiate the environment independently including assisting in all SCIP interventions, emergency CPR and or first aid techniques and fire drills. Communicates relevant information to all residential/day treatment staff and supervisor(s). Maintains coordination of services.  Maintains timely contact and communication with family members, guardians, care managers, etc. on the status of the person served. Must model and perform all aspects of persons served program plans, demonstrating techniques to residence staff. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Work schedules and location are subject to change based on consumer/program need. Other duties as requested.
