THE JOB:
Din Tai Fung a world-renowned Taiwanese restaurant, celebrated for its exquisite hand-crafted dishes and unparalleled dining experience. With approximately 150 locations globally, we bring a unique blend of artistry and culinary excellence to our guests. Our location has become the city's premier destination for authentic Taiwanese cuisine. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. This role requires a dedicated individual who can effectively manage a large team, ensure the highest standards of service, and contribute to the exceptional dining experience Din Tai Fung is known for.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Oversee floor service in the dining rooms during hours of operation to ensure a seamless dining experience

Make daily floor plans per shift to ensure proper rotation and coverage of stations

Perform employee evaluations and manage issues related to attendance records

Maintain clear communication with the Chef regarding all food service and menu-related issues to guarantee top quality and consistency

Act as a communication hub between management, chefs, and culinary staff to address and resolve any issues or needs requested by guests and employees

Order supplies through Purchasing System; prepare purchase requisitions for any outlets from the warehouse orĀ support departments

Inspect food coming from support departments to assure freshness and quality

Maintain direct communication with guests for special requests and large party reservations


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

2+ years of experience in Food & Beverage industry

At least 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage supervisor, or Kitchen Manager

Strong knowledge of basic spirits and liquors

Exceptional leadership and team management skills to manage a large team

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities to manage up to 2300 covers

Fluency in Chinese language

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent educational experience

Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
