Job DescriptionThis is a superb opportunity to join the hotel team of Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel Facilities Department (Maintenance) as Assistant Manager.
Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel is a Leading Hotel of the World and it is imperative that the candidate has the ability to deliver a high level of service in a confident and professional manner.
Specific Duties
To carry out all duties in line with departmental Standards Manual (Leading Quality Assurance)To guide the Facilities team in their daily tasks and report back to the Director of Facilities.To liaise with other departments to ensure that all guest requests are attended to efficiently.To rectify any maintenance issues within the hotel in a timely mannerTo monitor and control costs in all areas, energy saving etc.Carry out regular hotel inspections to identify maintenance requirementsCarry out PAT testing when requiredAssist the Director of Facilities with the Preventative Maintenance programme.To ensure guests safety by eliminating potential risks and hazards To check and replace used fire extinguishers immediatelyTo ensure all equipment required for the Fire evacuation procedures are checked on a monthly basis and in correct working orderTo check the defibrillator on a monthly basis.To order First Aid equipment when requiredTo ensure that all facilities of the hotel are maintained to the highest standardTo monitor all purchasing in maintenance in line with the purchasing policy of the hotelTo ensure that a safe and secure environment for guests, employees and visitors is maintainedTo ensure that all equipment is operated in line with trained instructions and is maintained in a clean working conditionTo use and store all hazardous substances in line with trained instructions To wear protective clothing as per safety proceduresTo prioritise and complete all jobs according to departmental standards and within appropriate timeframe and where this is not possible guests and relevant managers are informedTo ensure that all work complies with safety standardsTo maintain stocks to the required levelTo ensure that all bedrooms are checked on a rota basis and maintenance problems correctedTo ensure that public areas are checked daily and maintenance problems are corrected in a timely fashionTo be knowledgeable and informed about the introduction of products.To carry out cleaning as required.To carry out MOD shifts when requiredGeneral responsibilities:
To ensure the hotel achieves the Leading Hotels of the World Quality Assurance targets and that the highest deluxe quality that guests expect are delivered consistently.To delivery excellent care to our guestsTo ensure that areas of responsibility are clean and well maintained and cleaning checklists are adhered to.To ensure all work areas are clean and tidy – Facilities workshop & Cage.To report defective materials and equipment to appropriate individualTo ensure that the ambience in departments (lights, music and temperature) are controlled.To be vigilant throughout the Hotel to promote security To have strong product knowledge of all areas of the hotel.To accept flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to Hotel guests and to maintain flexibility within teams.To provide support where necessary in other areas of the Hotel.Skills:
