Assistant Manager Financial Controller plays a key role in Turkey financial controlling team covering financial accounting and reporting, risk management and control, internal & external assurance and has a wide range of responsibilities.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
Accounting & Reporting
Work on accurate and timely financial reporting for both group and local statutory reportingExecute daily operations in collaboration with 3rd party accounting and tax teams as well as external audit teamsPerform variance analysis and analytical review on financial statementsBe the part of month-end closing activities in line with deadlines by proactive planning and communicating with stakeholdersContribute to a broad range of other financial controlling & accounting activities and projectsPerform GL account reconciliations in line with the control requirementsPartner with cross-functional teamsRisk Management & Controls
Follow the risk management agenda, work on high-quality risk assessmentsUnderstand root causes of issues and identify where controls are not operating and work on remediation through relevant business leaders and wider Controlling TeamEnsure that the Global Financial Controls Framework is embedded and operating in line with the agreed global modelMaintain and enforce relevant local authority schedulesParticipate in Control Health Indicators (CHI) meetings and providing expertise & supportFinancial Processes
Deploy the global financial process efficiency programs in the marketEliminate, simplify, automate and/or centralise transactional activitiesInternal & External Assurance
Liaise with Corporate Audit & work on any follow up actionsCollaborate with external auditors during the audit processesImplement required standards of risk control and maintain insurance against risks specified in the Global Insurance & Risk Control StandardWHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience (Independent financial audit background along with financial reporting is preferable) Accounting and IFRS knowledge are mustStrong communication and presentation skillsProficiency in MS Office; ERP systems (Preferably SAP) experience is a plusFluent spoken and written EnglishCritical and independent thinkingAbility to perform under time pressureProblem-solving skills, ability to make reliable and objective judgments and conclusionsTurkish language and advanced English are mustLeadership
