Manage and coordinate transportation and distribution activities to ensure efficient movement of materials from the coal mining site to designated destinations Optimize logistics processes to minimize transportation costs and lead time while maintaining high levels of safety and compliance Collaborate with internal teams to forecast and plan logistics requirements based on production schedules and inventory levels Oversee the selection and management of third-party logistics providers and ensure adherence to service level agreements Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics operations and address any bottlenecks or inefficiencies Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations and develop strategies to improve performance and cost-effectiveness Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation and logistics activities Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain the quality and safety standards of transportation and distribution activities Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field Master's degree in a relevant field (preferred) Certification in Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management 2-6 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within the Coal Mining industry Demonstrated track record of successfully managing transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations Proven experience in optimizing logistics processes to minimize costs and enhance efficiency
