Assistant Manager - Media Relations (Media Relations)

Position Summary Media relations and partnerships is seeking a writer/editor to develop compelling content for Galaxy Macau, Broadway Macau, StarWorld, Galaxy Arena, GICC and new development. Reporting to AVP Media Relations and Partnerships, this individual is a creative storyteller who will work closely with stakeholders within Marketing services and Operations in a meaningful and engaging way. The desired candidate is a strong writer and editor who thinks critically not just about the content that will interest our audience, but also about how to use all available channels to keep our audience engaged and growing.Primary Responsibility The position is to provide media relations editorial content development support to all campaigns, events of the properties and products under Galaxy Macau, Broadway and StarWorld. The editorial content development including: 1. Press releases, media factsheets 2. Property Executive speeches, executive biography 3. Property editorial communications 4. Property announcements reply for crisis and customer incidents 5. Editorial writing covered all properties (GM, SW, BW) under GEG and products (hospitality, FandB, MICE, Arena, retail, resort etc.) Writing • Write, and publish short- and long-form editorial content (e.g. press releases, management speech, media fact sheets, interviews QA) for all marketing campaigns, events of the properties and products under Galaxy Macau, Broadway and StarWorld. Editing • When required, edit, copyedit, proof, and guide the development of text as needed for use in a variety of outlets. • Maintain a consistent voice and monitor all editorial communications with an eye to editorial appropriateness. Planning • Work with other media relations colleagues to create the content calendar • Develop and maintain relationships with other marketing functions teams and operations to generate content ideas and talking points, and to stay current in key areas of focus. • Propose unique and exciting story angles on a regular basis that increase properties awareness and interest in the campaigns. Managing/Operations • Manage projects and work closely with marketing functions and outside vendors to complete projects on deadline, ensuring accountability and quality.Requirements • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in PR communications, including: media relations, sponsorship promotions, event management, social media, crisis management and executive management • Strong PR media contacts in priority markets: Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Taiwan, Macau • Excellent project management and organizational skills with matured personality and be able to present to large audiences as well as in front of executive Management in a comfortable way • Degree or diploma holder • Must be fluent in English, Chinese (Cantonese or Putonghua, prefer both) languages, spoken and written – added bonus if Japanese language abilities • Preferred experience in hospitality and travel marketing • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager
