We pioneer technology for mobility experience that matter to people.
Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesAs the manufacturing member of the Innovation Project Core Team, he/she is responsible for all the manufacturing aspects of the project.
His/Her mission lasts from the M0 to the M3 gate of the innovation project according to the IPMS handbook (Innovation Program Management System Handbook)
Team Management
• Coordinate (manufacturing, project leader) work package tasks and ensure their accomplishment according to the IPMS deliverables.
• In agreement with the Innovation Project Manager, manufacturing interface with the customer (if a pilot customer exists) and the suppliers.
• Product Innovation: Coordinate activities and tasks fulfillment of the manufacturing contributors to the project:
PC&L
Support functions if necessary (PSE, Quality in Production, HSE, …)
Plant Program Launch Team (if a plant has been identified)
• Process Innovation: Coordinate activities and tasks fulfillment of project contributors.
Product Interface (Manufacturability)
• Ensure design to manufacturing through concurrent engineering activities with product engineers.
• Participate in the definition of the KPC/KCC and lead the Process FMEA
• Ensure manufacturing feasibility: Create and complete the DOE ( Design of Experience ) and the MVP (Manufacturing Validation Plan) with the support of the process specialists and experts.
• Manage the prototype build, delivery and analysis.
• Implement all changes related to production system and/or related to the product (as of Engineering Change Management).
Production System Development
• Study, develop in detail, validate, release and set-up the complete production system of the Innovation program: Equipment and tool interfaces, layout, process flow charts, material and information flow diagram in accordance with the Group standards and product objectives.
• Supervise the make vs. buy analysis.
• Ensure the achievement of process FMEA and MVP.
Project Finalization
• Consolidate all manufacturing information: Process definition, production system definition, etc. related to the project to allow a robust transfer to the Divisions later.
• Support the Division ME for the first application of the innovation project.
Targets and Reporting
• During the initial phase of the project, calculate the project manufacturing stakes: piece price, investment, process validation cost, savings, etc. and update them regularly.
• Achieve all manufacturing project objectives based on the IPMS deliverables.
• Report on a monthly basis the progress of his/her activities.
• Report all manufacturing risk analyses and their associated action plans and opportunities.
• Apply Program Management System and Engineering Change Management and Faurecia tools and standards.
• Ensure that manufacturing milestones are passed successfully and on time.
