The Assistant Manager – P&D and PWF is responsible for the management of engineering teams for the effective and efficient operation and maintenance of pool, water features facilities, Plumbing and Drainage (P&D) systems and equipment for the Galaxy Macau Cotai precinct for the 24/7 running of all the business operations in Gaming, Hospitality, F&B, MICE and Administration, etc., in terms of business continuity, legitimacy, guest comfort and future development in a professional, work-efficient and cost-effective manner.
Primary Responsibility1. Support Manager – P&D and PWF for planning and managing the budget of the P&D and PWF Team by setting OPEX budgets and CAPEX projects/ upgrades in alignment with the approved business plan of FM and Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG). 2. Support Manager – P&D and PWF in O&M services and Alteration & Addition Works (A&A) and Improvement/ Upgrade Projects of the Pool and Water Features facilities, Plumbing & Drainage system no matter inhouse or outsourced to provide facility management services to support different business functions in Gaming, Hospitality, F&B, MICE and Administration thus warranting the business continuity, uplifting the productivity, elevating the profitability and ensuring the well-being of guests/ team members in a courteous, efficient, effective and professional manner. 3. Support Manager – P&D and PWF in grooming, managing, guiding and leading the P&D and PWF Team. 4. Support Manager – P&D and PWF in building and maintaining the effective communication, coordination and collaboration within FM and across GEG including all the GEG business units and Vendors/ Service Providers. 5. Implement the approved O&M plans for the pool, water features facilities, plumbing and drainage system including but not limited to the Operation of Equipment, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program, the non-scheduled Corrective Maintenance (CM) jobs and the Emergency Repair in a proper, work-efficient, cost-effective and professional manner with adherence to the statutory requirements, the brand standards, the O&M Manuals, the industrial best practices and directive from Manager – P&D and PWF; timely review and report. 6. Prepare contractual and technical proposals (e.g. specification, tender and contract) for effective execution of engineering services/ works related to O&M and water quality assurance of the pool, water features facilities, plumbing and drainage system with associated equipment/ accessories, and managing/ monitoring/ supervision of the same in a courteous, efficient, effective and professional manner; timely review and report. 7. Support Manager – P&D and PWF in developing the Emergency Response/ Action plans or Crisis Management/ Handling procedures and properly and effectively executing the same in accordance with the approved Policy & Procedures (P&P), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and directive from Manager – P&D and PWF; timely review and report. 8. Keep close tracking of the approved Key Performance Index (KPI) and the target energy performance; timely review, report and adjust accordance with the directive from Manager as necessary. 9. Ascertain the proper, efficient and effective implementation of the O&M plans through tracking with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and benchmarking with the approved KPIs for conformity to the approved brand standards, compliance to the statutory requirements and the achievement of energy saving target; timely review, report and adjust as necessary. 10. Support Manager – P&D and PWF in managing Sustainability, WHS (Workplace Health & Safety), Environmental, Risk Management, Quality Assurance/ Control, etc., by participating in the related activities and fostering the same culture in the P&D and PWF Team through trainings and regular communication. 11. Render engineering and technical support for all the GEG business units in the best interest of GEG as and where required. 12. Perform any additional duties as necessary and assigned.
Requirements Experienced in operation and maintenance of plumbing and drainage or swimming pool trade system; Background in Building Services/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Engineering. Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree or above in relevant engineering disciplines plus at least 8 years relevant working experience among which 4 years at managerial level, or Holder of Higher Diploma in relevant engineering disciplines plus 10 years or above relevant working experience among which 8 years or more at managerial level in 5 start hotel/ resort. Preferably with membership of relevant professional bodies. Mature, helpful and pleasant characters with strong leadership skill, good communication technique, proactive & positive manner, team-player spirit, result-oriented mind-set, uncompromised integrity and “CAN DO” attitude. Fluent in both writing and verbal communication in Chinese (Cantonese/ Putonghua) and English. Exposure in hotel/ hospitality industry is preferred. Proficiency in energy and environmental service management.
