Oversee the day-to-day smelting operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production targets Lead and manage a team of smelting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the procurement of raw materials and the distribution of finished products Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards related to smelting operations Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance the overall performance of the smelting facility Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding smelting operations, performance metrics, and future plans Mentor and develop the next generation of smelting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field Master's degree or additional certifications in relevant fields (preferred) 10 to 12 years of experience in the copper industry Demonstrated experience in smelting operations and management Proven track record of leadership and team management
