THE JOB:

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for daily operations of the restaurant. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Be on the floor assisting on the line with beverages and food items as needed depending on business volume

Help supervise two Starbucks and 48th and Crepe at the New York New York property

Supervise baristas and lead baristas to ensure quality assurance

Review daily schedules and manage time off and vacation requests; coach and train on policies, procedures, and performance

Train team on new drinks and meal items

Order supplies through the IP System and Purchasing

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

2+ years of prior experience in a lead barista position or equivalent

Experienced and familiar with the culture of Starbucks to be able to lead and train baristas

Knowledge of all menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment

Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement

Experience working in a similar resort setting

Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
