THE JOB:
The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in leading the restaurant team to achieve operational and financial goals while upholding MGM brand standards. Responsibilities include staff management, training, execution of F&B initiatives, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences in alignment with company policies.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Oversee daily restaurant operations, including budgets, labor, scheduling, inventory, guest service, and marketing to drive profitability.

Support the General Manager in executing business plans and developing strategies to meet goals.

Assist with HR functions, including hiring, training, team development, compliance, and fostering a positive work environment.

Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, manage feedback channels, and collaborate with the culinary team for seamless service.

Implement policies, procedures, training, and company initiatives while maintaining health, sanitation, and compliance standards.

Maintain expert knowledge of the venue’s food, beverage offerings, and equipment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.

Familiarity with all menu items, products, and necessary equipment.

Proficiency in Point of Sale (POS) systems and operations.

Ability to optimize staffing for efficiency and cost control.

Strong judgment and effective listening skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Has previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant OR previous experience in a luxury or fine-dining restaurant.

Has previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement.
