Assistant Manager - Warehouse

Job Summary:

If you are a specialist in warehouse operations and management, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a warehouse assistant manager to work for our India Pressure Management Business unit. Responsible for ensuring the materials are received, stored and issues to production line on time and to maintain high level stock accuracy. This gives you a very crucial role in helping drive growth platforms and supporting operational pillars while striving for long-term value creation.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Strategically lead warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision Lead all aspects of receiving, put away, picking and dispatch operations. Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization. Initiate, coordinate and implement efficient operational policies and procedures. Enforce to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements. Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system. Prepare annual budget. Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies. Plan work rotations, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results. Recruit, select, orient, mentor and empower employees. Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Competent as a Warehouse In charge or above Expertise in warehouse Operational procedures and standard processes Expertise in WMS module in ERP solutions. Preferred Oracle. Proven record to implement process improvement initiatives Good understanding of warehousing Key Performance Indicators. Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases Ability to be responsible for the team performance Strong decision making and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Any degrees in logistics / transportation management Core experience in warehouse management with 10 plus years. Speaking Hindi is an additional advantage Team Management  Proficiency in MS office Ability to build good relationship with internal and external customers Hold the ability to run multiple projects parallelly and having a strategic mind-set Brings an external focus to work, by being constantly updated on developments and innovations in the external world Desire and ability to take full ownership of end-to-end execution to meet sales target Strong work ethic with excellent organization, time management.
