Reports to: Wine, Spirits and Beverages Manager
This role is part of a team in our Catering Centre of Excellence who works on promoting awareness and grow appreciation of our home city’s world-renowned food culture.
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of the supply chain operations for wine, spirits, beverages and dry store supplies for inflight and collaborate with the Wine Outsourced company and Procurement teams to achieve cost effective alcoholic beverages supply, and ensure the new products or services are delivered to the market in a timely manner
You will also work and coordinate with Galley Loading Planning team, Equipment Planning and Development team, Inflight Catering and Quality Control team, and Inflight Service Delivery team, Cathay Dining and outport caterers to ensure the provision and loading ratio meets the requirements of the inflight services and the needs of passengers.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial aspects: Accountable for forecast and ensuring a balanced budget on logistics, manage wine and spirits stock coverage ratios. Explain the monthly cost variance on budget provision vs actual spend.Conduct regular consumption trend analysis for the wines, spirit and alcoholic beverages. Follow up on abnormal consumption/ordering cases with relevant parties
Wine operations: Manage the wine planogram after reviewing consumption and stock balance to ensure the most efficient use of wine stock balances.Manage the communications of planned listing of wine and spirits and its operational information on various platforms: alcoholic inflight menus, The Hub, service matrix, Air Ready, internal CX digital asset library.Validate invoices on cargo logistics and conduct goods received for stock transfer order.Manage the HKIA lounges operator supplier relationship in wine and spirits items and operational aspects of wine supply.Assist in wine & spirits related matters (e.g. tender, RFP, wine tasting) as assigned by WSBM.
Procurement / Logistics / Inventory operations: Responsible for end-to-end process of the procurement, withdrawal and logistics process from supplier liaison, generating of SAP code for new items, issuance of POs, scheduling of cargo shipments, ensuring timely payments etc.Monitor stock levels at outport caterers and C commercial stores to ensure adequate stock and investigate discrepancies.Prepare inventory reports for wine, spirits and alcoholic beverages and dry store supplies or as required.
Others: Responsible for related projects as dedicated by Head of Culinary Excellence /WSBM.Requirements
University education in hotel & catering, Inventory, logistics & supply chain management or related disciplines.Certified with a wine related qualification such as the Wine & Spirits Education Trust ( WSET - minimum Level 2).A minimum of +5 years' relevant experience in Airline industry or a hospitality and/or inventory/logistics/shipping management Background.Good knowledge and exposure in wine, spirits, beverage and dry goods supplies industry and CPG.Good experience in handling full set of Import and Export documents.Solid experience and knowledge in airline business, processes and procedures as well as in-depth knowledge of business practices of inflight catering operation and food labelling regulations.Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels.Good numerate/budgeting knowledge skills and data analytical skills to formulate business analysisStrong command of written and spoken English and Chinese, can read and write Traditional and Simplified Chinese.Good planning, organization and well-versed project management skills, with PMP and Lean Green Belt certification preferred.Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and other practical skills on Qlikview, Brio, Macros and Project.Personal & Application Information
