Assistant Marketing Editor

Position Overview:

The Assistant Editor position is responsible for supporting the business in the execution of all direct mail and e-mail campaigns for assigned utility partners and municipalities. The Assistant Editor will identify errors and/or inconsistencies in spelling, grammar, punctuation, appearance, and content as well as make sure all material is legally compliant, and all state mandates are included. The Assistant Editor will develop strong relationships with the Campaign Management, Print Production, and Product teams to ensure the compliant implementation of each campaign.

Responsibilities:

Develop and learn the editorial process to own and support the execution of low to mid-level complexity marketing campaigns. Review creative content to ensure each component of the copy, offer and product details are error-free, match price points, and adhere to our Marketing Guidelines. Confirm formatting, arrangement, content, grammar, punctuation, and spelling using Adobe Acrobat and Word. Ensure documents contain required disclaimers, footnotes, legal copy and state rules. Manage the creative content throughout the campaign process to ensure corrections have been made. Understand the brand guidelines and product suite for low to mid-level complexity assigned partners. Maintain reference material with updated regulatory requirements and partner preferences for the business. Create and maintain documentation with material product information that is legally required for compliant marketing. Collaborate with team members to engage in a culture of continuous improvement and automation

Job Requirements:

2+ years proofreading/editing experience. College degree in English or Journalism preferred. Strong attention to detail with proven time management skills.

Salary Range: $56,453.14 - $65,270.86

Annual Bonus Potential: 5%
