Job Purpose

The Assistant Marketing Manager, Disney Consumer Products, will support the Senior Marketing Manager in building franchise strategy and franchise specific campaigns, as well as DTCR business including offline and online stores, with the aim to create brand power, expand consumer demographic,  identify additional opportunities, and accelerate the business growth & sales. 

The role of the position also includes implement B2B and B2C strategies, including specific CP marketing programs for certain franchise, build sell-in strategy and materials, support Disney Store product and marketing, as well as support EC marketing. The role requires close work relationship with sales team and other corporate functions. 

Key Responsibilities

•    Build franchise strategy and marketing calendar which are aligned with global direction and local business objectives

•    Maintain 18-24 month of marketing / product calendar 

•    Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns that support the growth of responsible franchise/ IP that is aligned with business target and measurement

•    Prepare sell-in marketing assets (including marketing concept, franchise story, videos, etc.) for long-term planning and short-term pitching purpose

•    Create product stories, marketing assets, retail VM & deco for both physical store and EC channel

•    Manage social media & digital marketing for Disney Store 

•    Work with cross-functional teams to drive synergy within TWDC that would ultimately support sell-in and sell-through of products

•    Manage marketing budget planning and execution

Requirements

Education:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or related field in top university

Experience:

• Experience working with or for multiple divisions of a major entertainment company.

• Experience working in diverse international emerging territories

• 5+ years experiences in marketing, brand development, promotions or sales for multi-national fortune 100 companies.

Knowledge:

•    A mature, self-motivated executive who is also able to successfully implement multiple initiatives, driving results for the company.  The candidate must have a strong “partnership” mentality in working with others. The successful candidate must also demonstrate the following: 

•    Strong planning and execution skills: able to multitask or manage several projects concurrently with minimum supervision 

•    Outstanding communication skills: persuasive and convincing both in oral and written

•    Problem solving skills: able to resolve issues independently and communicate solutions effectively 

•    Analytical skills: able to provide sound recommendations based on good understanding of different Business Units’ needs, China market situation, trends and consumer insights

•    Professionalism and integrity, a team player, perform well under pressure

Core Skills:

•    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

•    Diverse experience across multiple marketing disciplines including consumer marketing, promotions, sponsorships, publicity, special & live events.

•    Demonstrated success in building relationships across all levels of an organization (Executive through Managerial).

•    Drives results through consensus building, team work, and identifying common goals.

•    Well-developed computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
