The Assistant Mechanical Engineer (or Assistant CommissioningEngineer) will assist with commissioning, retro-commissioning, and energy related assignments for complex buildings and systems in the mission critical, healthcare, laboratory, aviation, manufacturing, higher education, commercial building, water, waste water and onsite energy markets. The Assistant Commissioning Engineer will work with the project team throughout the commissioning process, adapting commissioning plans to budget constrains, design factors or client needs.
Assist with the writing and execution of commissioning plans, specifications, checklists, test procedures, systems manuals, and reports based upon Burns McDonnell's commissioning standards.Assist in the revision of design, equipment submittals, operations and maintenance manuals, start-up reports, checklists, and training programs for commissioning plans.Review operating modes, sequence of operations and specifics of equipment, operations, and maintenance for commissioning plans.Assist with documenting results and performance shortfalls. Assist owner, operations and maintenance, design and construction personnel in recommending remedial measures.Attend meetings with owner, operation and maintenance, design and construction personnel to understand project goals and schedules in order to ensure commissioning work is properly coordinated.Assist with site visits to coordinate commissioning, evaluate new and existing systems, equipment start-up. Assist with operations and maintenance training.Assist with operation and maintenance plans to develop an understanding of systems and design intent.All other duties as assigned.
