Overview MA position needed for busy, growing Rheumatology office. The responsibilities include assisting doctors and nurses in providing care to their patients. Their duties include recording and updating medical histories, medications, and performing standard care procedures like taking vital signs and assisting with rooming patients as needed. Must be comfortable obtaining manual blood pressures/vital signs when needed and reporting and documenting abnormal vital signs to the nurse. Must be willing to be flexible and assist with cleaning patient rooms, and assist patients to the bathroom, and with wheelchair transportation as needed. The Medical Assistant will cover the lab or be cross trained to cover the lab serving 50-60 patients daily, obtaining urine collection, and assisting patients with collection as needed, properly labeling specimen tubes, and delivering to the hospital lab daily. This position assists with clerical/office duties such as scanning, uploading documents, making and verifying appointments as needed and must be willing to be cross trained. REQNUMBER: 31695
