Our dedicated and talented team works collaboratively to ensure patients meet their goals of care and return to their homes in the community. As the Assistant Nurse Manager, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a vibrant team, empower patients, and create lasting impacts. 

 

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON), the Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring continuity of nursing care by overseeing and monitoring care delivery within the Transitional Care Unit (TCU). This role will help support nursing through effective problem-solving and decision-making, audits and rounding to monitor care quality, and assists with ensuring accurate documentation and communication across the team. The Assistant Nurse Manager applies the nursing process to deliver individualized care, conducts audits and daily rounds to monitor care quality, and ensures accurate documentation and communication across the care team.

 


This Assistant Nurse Manager schedule includes;

80 hours per two weeks
Day shift
Weekends as needed 

 


Key Responsibilities

Audit admissionsCollaborate with the Infection Prevention nurse to obtain immunization consentsComplete pharmacy recommendationsReview daily lab and X-ray resultsParticipate in weekly wound roundsProvide mentorship and upport to floor nursesParticipate as an active part of the interdisciplinary teamBack up to the Nurse Manager as needed, including investigating incidents, attending care conferences, assessments and care planningPromote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, fostering excellence in post-acute care delivery


Required Qualifications

Associates Degree in Nursing Registered Nurse1 year TCU/Long Term Care Knowledge of and sensitivity to the needs of the geriatric population MS Office, Excel and Word Client facing and internal communication skillsMN Registered Nurse (RN) License Registered Nurse Licensed through the MN Board of Nursing   Upon HireBasic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)  AHA: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program or BLS Provider - BLS Instructor. American Red Cross: CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and/or Healthcare Providers, Life Guarding First Aid/CPR/AED Upon Hire

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science  Nursing or Related Field3 years  TCU/Long Term CareSupervisory/management experience in health care
