WellStaffed Dialysis will provide the best quality dialysis services; that our patients and providers deserve and that our staff can be proud of. The Assistant Nurse manager will have oversite of dialysis staff and services performed at 8 WellSpan Hospitals.
Full-Time - 80 Hours Biweekly
Days - off shifts as necessary to support staff
General Summary
Provides additional supervision of the daily operations and work activities of professional nursing and ancillary services staff on assigned unit. Oversees the successful delivery of quality patient care, service excellence and customer satisfaction. Provides direct individualized patient care at an experienced practitioner level as required.
Duties and Responsibilities

Assists in selecting staff, trains/orients personnel, evaluates performance, prepares work schedules and makes recommendations for personnel actions.Assists in developing budgets.Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s).Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards.Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops.Attends meetings as required. Chairs and/or serves on appropriate committees as requested.Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Work Experience:
3 years Charge/leadership experience is requiredSupervisory experience. PreferredLicenses:
Licensed Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required orRegistered Nurse Multi State License Upon Hire Required andBasic Life Support Upon Hire RequiredCourses and Training:
Neonatal resuscitation, as applicable. Upon Hire RequiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
