EDUCATION
Graduation from a recognized program in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required
Certificate Other Required Licensed COTA
Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation

Treats patients of all ages who suffered loss of upper extremity function, balance, coordination, perception, endurance, or present with decrease ability to perform ADLs due to trauma, illnesses, or surgery. The therapist follows the treatment plan designed by the Occupational Therapists and reports all findings. The therapist works with patients and families to achieve the highest possible level of independence.
ResponsibilitiesPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions)
Documents assessments and interventions accurately and timely.Educates patients and family members.Follows treatment plan designed by Occupational Therapist.Participates in multi- disciplinary meetings and case reviews.
