What will I be doing?

\n

As an Assistant Outlet Manager serving Waldorf Astoria Maldives, assists the Outlet Manager for managing the outlet's operation to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. The Outlet Manager will also be required to manage, train, and develop team members and work within all budgeted guidelines. As the Assistant Outlet Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.

\n\nMaintain a high guest service focus by approaching your job with the guests always in mind and being proactive in a timely manner towards their needs and requests.\nHave a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both guests and colleagues.\nBe motivated and committed, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seizing opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve your personal performance.\nBe flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.\nMaintain high Team focus by showing team work and support to colleagues in the pursuit of team goals.\nContribute ideas and suggestions to enhance operational/environmental procedures in the Resort.\nActively promote the services and facilities of the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi and the Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts to guests and suppliers of the Resort.\nPerform all duties and responsibilities in a manner that ensures your safety and that of others in your workplace.\nEnsure the outlet is fully compliant with Waldorf Astoria Service Delivery Standards and the Quality Assurance Audit standards.\nConsistently and diligently checks that mise en place, service, and cleaning in the outlet (heart and front of the house) are of the highest standards and take any necessary corrective action.\nEnsure the availability of all food & beverage item (including tobacco) and suggest the best alternative in case of shortage.\nEnsure all menus and other items within the guest’s view are in perfect condition.\nBe aware of requirements in terms of food safety and hygiene standards and checks that these standards are implemented and maintained in all service and guest areas, and takes any necessary corrective action.\nReport maintenance request to Engineering Department within the set procedure and follow up through appropriate channels.\nExecute all F&B activities and promotions according to guidelines given by the Outlet Manager.\nPerform additional tasks as requested by the the Outlet Manager.\nGet feedback from customer on an on-going basis, and suggest corrective actions to the F&B Outlet Manager.\nCommunicate SALT results with the team on a daily basis, discuss and implement the best practices to increase SALT score together with the team.\nBe aware of the financial objectives of the outlet, follow up and work towards their achievement.\nBe aware of the financial performance of the department and the whole property.\nEnsure that turnover and absenteeism are kept to a minimum level.\nEnsure that team members are doing correct billing, bill posting and following the proper cashier P&P\nCheck inventory and approve all store requisitions to ensures that items are kept at appropriate par level.\nMaximize average checks through up-selling and incentive programs, set by the Outlet Manager.\nMonitor all F&B costs by continuous presence in the outlets and take immediate corrective action when needed, or reporting the issue to the F&B Outlet Manager.\nFully assist with the operating equipment (F&B and linen) and beverage inventories.\nEnsure all outlet opening and closing checklists are filled up daily.\nMaintain the monthly outlet breakage list, spillage and spoilage form filing with signed/approval from the Outlet Manager.\nBe present during the beverage inventory count during the month end by the Cost Controller. \n·Ensure that there are no inventory discrepancies during the month end inventory count by the Cost Controller.\nBe able to answer to the Cost Controller on all beverage inventory queries, discrepancies, spillage and spoilage with relevant signed/approved forms by the Outlet Manager. \nKeep courteous, professional relationships with suppliers, colleagues from competition, and from other Waldorf Astoria and The Hilton Family properties.\nAttend and actively participate in training sessions and monthly communication meetings\nDevelop all team members of the department with appropriate training and coaching.\nEnsure that training needs are identified, addressed, and reported to manager.\nConduct Performance Development Review and Career Development Plan for captains, Attendants and hostesses together with the Outlet Manager.\nAssign responsibilities to team members, provide appropriate guidance, coaching and support, and to check their performance periodically.\nAssist Outlet Manager with Outlet Team Member Rostering in order to achieve maximum productivity\nAssist Outlet Manager in monitoring Vacation/Day Off/Public Holidays for the outlet through careful planning, ahead of time.\nEnsure that the outlet is manned at an appropriate level based on restaurant reservation and Resort occupancy in order to deliver service standards at all times.\nConduct a daily briefing together with the Outlet Manager for the team on a daily basis.\n

\n\nPassion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service\nExtensive Food & Beverage Experience within a luxury setting. \nExcellent communication skills, effective management, leadership, organizational and communications skills\nAbility to assemble, analyze, understand integrated spread sheets and complex technical information.\nStrong presentations skills\nPrioritization skills necessary to meet deadlines\nCandidate must have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese\n\n

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

\n\nDegree/Diploma in relevant area, ideally Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management\nLuxury resort experience\n\n
