**What you'll bring to the team** 'We are currently looking for a Penguin Keeper with a passion for positive animal welfare and husbandry to join our fantastic team at SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton’s Auckland. **The role will be a part time position, one day a week on Sundays.** **About the Role** As a Penguin Keeper you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day care and management of our Gentoo and King Penguins, their exhibit and life support system. Your duties will include but are not limited to: + Providing a suitable environment for our penguins which offers excellent welfare. + Meeting all husbandry requirements of the penguins including cleaning, animal training, enrichment, dietary, veterinary and breeding requirements. + Observation and maintaining a high standard of record keeping. + Conducting feeding presentations and educational talks to visitors as required. + Maintaining a clean and safe working environment. **About You** The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about and have an understanding of animals and will display commitment, loyalty and a strong work ethic. Animal husbandry experience/ knowledge is essential, in addition to physical fitness as some heavy lifting will be involved.
